Skills that are taught and reinforced include parts of speech, sentence structure, sentence variety, capitalization, punctuation, brainstorming, outlining, composition and organization of paragraphs and essays.
Assessments
This Templeton Phonics Assessment is designed to evaluate your child’s grasp of letter-sound relationships and their ability to apply those skills when reading (decoding) and spelling (encoding) words. These foundational skills are critical for strong reading development. By pinpointing exactly where your child is thriving and where they may be struggling—whether it’s recognizing specific sounds, blending them into words, or spelling those words correctly—we’re able to create a highly personalized learning plan.
